What Playing Games Teaches Us

playing games

Contrary to popular belief, playing games is not half as bad as they paint it to be.

You see, playing games is more than just allowing a person to enjoy after a long week of grinding for those examinations at school. You also see, playing games is more than just allowing a person to relax after a long day of grating for those reports at work. You even see, playing games is more than just allowing a person to rejuvenate after a long day of grazing for those chores at home.

Playing games is allowing us to learn things that we don’t usually learn at school alone such as the value of teamwork. Playing games is also allowing us to learn things that we don’t usually learn at work alone such as the importance of strategy. Playing games is also allowing us to learn things that we don’t usually learn at home alone such as the significance of willpower.

Most of all, playing games is about growing up – in-game, where our characters develop their skills as their levels increase; and in-life, where we ourselves develop our skills as our ages increase.

Even more so, here’s a few on what playing games teaches us:

It teaches us how to navigate life.

Just like in real life, playing games sometimes involves a user to navigate an unfamiliar map. And just like in real life, playing games sometimes involves a user to navigate without knowing anything. But you know what? That’s what makes navigating life awesome. That’s what also makes playing games awesome. The mere fact that navigating life is just like navigating an unfamiliar map makes for what life constantly teaches us – to expect the unexpected, as well as to simply have fun and to always get back up…no matter what happens.

It teaches us how to survive life.

Just like in real life, playing games sometimes involves a user to survive a certain quest. And just like in real life, playing games sometimes involves a user to survive without getting anything. But you know what? That’s what makes surviving life awesome. That’s what also makes playing games awesome. The mere fact that surviving life is just like surviving a certain quest makes for what life constantly teaches us – to never expect that much, as well as to simply have fun and to always get back up…no matter what happens.

On another hand, what do you think about becoming one of the best wizards out there the next time you play games?
